The Family Honor School of Music is their family-owned and run business here in Dahlonega, where students of all ages come to learn guitar, voice, mandolin, banjo, dulcimer, fiddle, and bass. In addition, both are involved as instructors with the Georgia Pick & Bow Traditional Music School Program.

Jason Kenney is a native of the North Georgia mountains, as is soulfully reflected in the neo-traditional sounds of his stringed instruments and good, strong vocals.  He has extensive experience as a performer in the local music scene and as a teacher, with songs of his own and, as Lara notes, "a heart full of goodness."  

Lara Polangco was born in Georgia as well, with roots deep down in the sweet, sorrowful Southern blues.  Her favorite instrument is the human voice, as she believes song to be a powerful medium of healing and spiritual exchange, one reason she sings and teaches others.  A mother of two home-schooled children, she gardens and records original songs in her spare moments.
